The Sculpted Arias portrait masks with interior tableaus are created either as unique, one-of-a-kind pieces or as limited editions of up to 5. However, the faces by themselves are available in limited editions of 25. These editions are hollow masks cast in bronze, with no sculpting or painting on the interior. The masks are available in either a free-standing version, mounted on a granite or marble base, or as a version designed for wall-hanging. Each face is approximately life-sized.
The full figures and relief plaques of the Sculpted Arias and Ring Cycle series are all limited edition bronzes. Figures are mounted on marble and the reliefs can be either hung on a wall or displayed on a custom wooden stand. Edition numbers vary, depending on the piece. Please note that as editions of collectible bronze sculptures approach sell-out, prices are subject to increase. Once an edition is sold out, the mold is destroyed and no further copies will be cast.

The artist welcomes commissions to create custom pieces, site-specific works or portrait masks and sculptures of your favorite opera characters. Possibilities include free-standing sculptures of all sizes, wall-mounted pieces, figures for fountains, and architectural bronzes (figurative columns, doors, lintels, etc.). Custom commissions are a collaboration between artist and client, and elements of design, installation and budget will be agreed upon at the beginning of the project. Please call or write to discuss your ideas.
Payment is requested in the form of checks in US dollars. At this time, the Kravetz studio is not set up to receive credit cards. If a piece is in stock, it can be shipped via Fed-ex Express or Fed-ex Ground as soon as the payment check is received. The check will not be deposited until the artwork has been delivered to the client and approved. All shipping charges are the responsibility of the buyer.
Limited editions may not always be in stock. If you wish to purchase an edition, a 50% deposit is requested to cover casting and finishing costs. As soon as the piece is ready for shipment, the client will be notified, and the piece will be sent as soon as the balance is received. The balance check will not be deposited until the piece is delivered and approved. Please be aware that it may take from 8-12 weeks to get a finished piece back from the foundry.
Custom commissions require one-third deposit before the sculpting work is begun, one third after the clay sculpt is approved and before the piece goes to the foundry, and the balance upon completion of the piece.
Special "pre-foundry" prices are available on some works-in-progress. As is common with collectible bronzes, a client can reserve an early edition number after seeing a finished piece in clay, before the foundry work begins. These special prices are offered to help the artist cover some of the molding and casting costs on a new edition. Please ask to be on the mailing list to be notified of new works as they are finished, and their pre-cast prices.
